A Wedding Uniquely Yours

EXCLUSIVE USE  –  FLEXIBLE APPROACH

If you are short on time, feel free to use this shortcut to our brochure, summary of charges and other useful summary information about weddings at Homme.

Homme is not a high volume, commercial, cookie cutter wedding venue. We open and share our beautiful home for a limited number of very special occasions, all on an exclusive use basis, for everything from a simple and intimate wedding ceremony and canapé reception, to a full weekend gathering, giving you the flexibility to have the day you desire. In doing so we enjoy providing as much support as you want through the process of planning your wedding, as well as helping to ensure that the wedding day itself runs as smoothly as possible.

For a weekend wedding, exclusive use of all our reception rooms, accommodation and grounds is from 09:30am on Friday to 12:30pm on Sunday. This gives you the freedom to settle in, set up and relax knowing everything is just as you want it for your wedding day, and ensures a relaxed start to married life once the celebrations are over.

As an alternative, midweek weddings at Homme offer the flexibility to enjoy the house and its surroundings for daytime only or daytime + evening hire on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

For either, the reception rooms and grounds can be used in many different ways; we will do our best to accommodate even the most unusual ideas. Explore the house, grounds and possibilities for your wedding day below.

Garden Ceremony

3 unique spaces for an outdoor ceremony

SUMMERHOUSE  –  LAWN  –  WOODLAND

Our 17th century Summerhouse offers a unique backdrop for a Walled Garden ceremony of up to 110, with intimate ceremonies possible in the Upper Chamber itself. The long borders, cherry walkway and espaliered apples provide lovely settings for confetti after the ceremony.

Garden ceremonies can also take place on the lawn, with the backdrop of parkland and woodland acer glade.

Woodland ceremonies are possible under a canopy of beech trees in the 80 acres behind the Walled Garden.

In each case we pay dutiful homage to the weather gods with an indoor contingency plan for every ceremony.

Church Service

Less than a Mile to ‘I Do’

ST. BARTHOLOMEW’S, MUCH MARCLE  –  ALL SAINTS CHURCH, YATTON

For a church wedding, 13th century St. Bartholomew’s lies at the end of our parkland drive just 1000m from Homme. It has a 400 year connection with the house and is home to the famous 1000 year old Marcle yew, whose hollow trunk is a unique spot for photographs following the service.

For a more intimate candlelit church service, The Parish of Yatton & All Saints Church is just a few miles from Homme, perched on a hill with stunning views over the surrounding countryside.

Our local Ledbury Group Ministry looks after both churches and is very welcoming to couples not resident in the parish.

Reception

Corkage-Free Fun

NO CORKAGE  –  5 ACRES OF GARDENS TO EXPLORE

The reception rooms and over 5 acres of gardens provide plenty of space in which to relax, get creative and explore.

With no mandatory in-house drinks list or corkage fee you’ll have complete freedom to source exactly what you would like to drink on your wedding day, without any costly surcharge.

The Main Lawn, Upper Lawn and Walled Garden all offer places to gather for canapés and reception drinks, with secluded surrounding areas around the garden for photographs through the changing light of the day.

For guests there are patios and benches on which to relax and enjoy the surroundings, and whether a traditional game of croquet, circus skills or crazy golf, plenty of possibilities and space in which to keep them entertained.

Dining

A Memorable Feast

NO SET MENUS  –  NO PREFERRED IN-HOUSE CATERER

Herefordshire is a beautiful, rural corner of England with an incredible richness of local produce to inspire the food and drinks menus for your wedding day.

And with no preferred catering partners or food rules at Homme, you can take full opportunity – whether it’s an afternoon tea on the lawn, hog roast, picnic or wedding breakfast banquet you are after, we will support you to help realise your vision for this central element of the day.

Evening Fun

A Fitting Celebration

FREE BAR  –  PAY BAR WITH HEREFORDSHIRE PUB PRICES

Whether you have bandeoke, murder mystery, casino, magician, bingo or sparklers in mind, the evening can unfold with whatever your imagination holds for a celebration of up to 120 guests.

If you would prefer not to provide all the drinks for your wedding day a pay bar is available for the evening reception, for which prices are matched to local Herefordshire pubs.

Evening music and dancing takes place in either the Panelled Room or Dining Room, with the Library offering a quiet, cosy space in which to relax by the fire.

If you have evening food in mind, you’re welcome to arrange anything from street food vans at the front of the house to providing your own nibbles.

And with guest accommodation for up to 32 on site, there needn’t be far to go when the celebrations draw to a close, with the Library an ideal space in which to relax and reflect on the events of the day.
